Longer service life of the parking cooler in summer
The standard parking cooler is designed to offer drivers a comfortable rest period. Thanks to advanced technology, the air conditioner can cool continuously for up to 6 hours at temperatures of 23 degrees or higher before the battery needs to be recharged.
With ISOCAB™ heat-insulating curtains, this time can increase to 9 hours.
This prevents the engine from having to run at night, resulting in a rested driver and lower fuel consumption. For comparison: idling to charge the battery uses an average of 7 to 8 litres of fuel per hour (source: VOLVO). Even half an hour of idling charging already costs 4 litres of fuel.
